Privacy policy

Being Intentional LLC doing business as Wealth IQ (“WIQ”), your trust is everything. We only collect information needed to serve you, and we never sell your data. We want our clients to understand what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your personal information.

WHY WE COLLECT YOUR INFORMATION

We collect personal information so we can:

  • Provide financial planning and investment services tailored to you
  • Comply with federal and state regulations that apply to RIAs

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND MAINTAIN

We may collect “nonpublic personal information,” including:

  • Personal identifiers: name, address, date of birth, Social Security Number
  • Financial details: account data, goals, documents shared with us
  • Information generated while advising you
  • Information from third parties: custodians, attorneys, accountants, etc.

WHEN WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

We only share your information when it’s allowed by law and necessary to serve you, such as with:

  • Service providers supporting your account (custodians, sub-advisers, technology vendors, recordkeepers)
  • Your authorized representatives (e.g., your CPA, attorney or power of attorney)
  • Vendors who help us operate (CRM, archiving, cloud storage, and AI-powered tools)
  • Regulators or legal authorities, when required
  • Business transfers (e.g., sale or merger of WIQ)

We may also share information with your explicit permission. If we ever change our policy in a way that expands sharing, you will have the right to opt out.

HOW WE PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We take security seriously. WIQ uses:

  • Restricted access — only team members who need the information can view it
  • Physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards
  • Encrypted cloud storage and a secure client portal for all sensitive data transfers
  • Confidentiality agreements with third-party vendors
  • Vendor due diligence reviews for all technology providers, including AI platforms

HOW WE USE AI TOOLS

We believe in being transparent about how we work, including the technology we use on your behalf.

WIQ uses artificial intelligence tools to support internal research, planning workflows, and document drafting. This enables us to spend more time on the work that matters: thinking, planning, and advising.

When using AI tools, WIQ:

  • Only uses platforms with formal, contractual data protections in place so your information is not used to train AI models
  • Applies a minimum-necessary standard — we only share information with an AI tool that is needed to complete the task at hand
  • Never inputs passwords, login credentials, Social Security Numbers, or account numbers into AI platforms
  • Does not use AI to make investment recommendations, generate performance projections, or determine suitability — those decisions require professional judgment and are made by your advisor
  • Reviews all AI-generated content before it reaches you
